Fascinating fact!
The existing Chelsea Harbour sits on an old British Rail Coal Yard and Victorian-era railway dock. Before building could begin in 1986 the entire area had to be excavated and the contaminated waste that had been buried there disposed of.

I would also like to say that your staff on board the Golden Jubilee were amazing. They were all so kind, helpful and super patient when we had difficulties caused by our sound equipment. From the first email inquiry to confirming my final numbers. The professionalism and 'Nothing too much trouble' approach by Carol Bowstead was second to none. She answered all questions I had when planning and leading up to the day and was very accommodating .On the day itself everything went smoothly. We had planned early set up and all went well and we managed to decorate the boat and lay out buffet table cake and sweets table in 1.5hrs. Sean and Sam were great behind the bar, Really friendly and nice. The boat itself was more than suitable for my needs. Good size and comfortable for our party.A small but functional bar and no one had to wait long to be served.. If at all. Small food prep area with microwave but we didn't needs to use. There are around 40-50 seats inside plus a fair amount of standing room. There is a dance floor was very much used... The outside deck is a nice size too for I would say 20 seats and decent standing space.. I was fortunate enough to have nice weather that day and my party was in the afternoon so the deck was enjoyed by the adults and children alike. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CPBS as the whole experience from initial date inquiry and viewing the boat .... To turning up on the day to set up was very smooth and I didn't worry about anything as it was all covered and in writing! Oh and they are reasonably priced too. All of my guests said what a great idea a boat party was and thought that everything was well organised plus they would consider using CPBS.

Well after many years I decided to have an old school reunion and chose the Golden Flame boat because we could have 2x floors of Dj's. The top deck had its own set up but I hired in a PA system for downstairs. The crew including security staff & bar staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic. No hassle, no attitude just professional and friendly - see you next year!

Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you to Skipper Stuart (or maybe he spells it Stewart?), and Joe, Rachel and Kirsten for another fabulous afternoon on the Thames. We were so lucky with the weather this year and everyone had a fantastic time. I have a feeling the bar did pretty well, so hopefully it was a successful venture all round. We are generally able to have a good time under any circumstances, but it's always so nice when we're dealing with lovely people along the way, and from yourself right through to the crew - everyone has been great and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back again.

We were invited to a training session on the Golden Star and it was a great way to learn whilst travelling from London Eye Pier, up to Greenwich and then back to Tower Bridge and seeing some wonderful sights along the river.
