About Us

Welcome to
Capital Pleasure Boats

Capital Pleasure Boats was formed by 4 partners in 2002 with one aim – to provide exceptional boat party experiences whilst cruising on the River Thames. 

Over the intervening years, we have gone from one boat, the Golden Jubilee, in 2002, to our core of 4 party boats, Golden Jubilee, Golden Flame, Golden Spirit and Golden Star, with various other boats along the way, whilst remaining a small family-run firm. We are proud of the fact that over 50% of our business comes from word of mouth or repeat bookings and have come up with the following promises to ensure we continue to deliver exceptional London boat parties that will be remembered for years to come.

  • Provide the best possible customer service

    We understand hiring a party boat in London can be a big deal, both financially and emotionally. We will be there for you, from first contact, through the booking procedure, to the event itself and any after-event care.

  • To be value for money

    Our party boats may not be the cheapest but we work hard to provide a quality service in a fantastic central London venue and ensure our boat hire rates are very competitive. Similarly, we regularly check our bar prices against the local competition and the other river Thames boats to ensure there are no nasty surprises once on board.

  • To be as flexible as possible

    It’s your boat party – when you hire with us we think you should choose as much as possible, from the times of your function and the piers from which we embark and disembark your guests, to whether or not to have food and what to cover the tables with. It’s all part of making it your event – not ours.

  • To treat each function individually

    You are unique and your boat party will be unique too. We will help tailor your river cruise to your specific requirements, this keeps us on our toes but we feel it is vital to the success of your event and therefore your relationship with us.

  • To adapt to your needs

    Our party boat venues offer a wide range of catering, entertainment, bar and décor possibilities in order to create your ideal London boat party, with minimal fuss and within budget. If you want something we don’t already offer then let us know, chances are we can source it for you, and if it works well you may find it added to our repertoire for next time!

  • To never stop improving our party boats

    We understand the main selling points of our business are our unique party venues which is why we work hard maintaining them to a very high standard. Matt and the team are constantly re-fitting, re-designing and improving them so that you and your guests get the most possible enjoyment from your event.

We were invited to a training session on the Golden Star and it was a great way to learn whilst travelling from London Eye Pier, up to Greenwich and then back to Tower Bridge and seeing some wonderful sights along the river.
